The Final Evaluation Reports of the Programmes have been completed and are now available for consultation

The Final Evaluation Study Reports of the Programmes supported by the European Economic Area (EEA) Financial Mechanism for the 2014–2021 period have recently been completed.

The evaluations, which aim to assess the achievement of the specific objectives of each programme as well as the results attained, were carried out in compliance with the provisions of the EEA Grants 2014–2021 Implementation Regulation, which requires beneficiary states to conduct evaluations of all their programmes.

The reports were prepared by external entities, and the content was guided by the commitment to respond to the Evaluation Questions. The evaluation aimed not only to assess objectives and results, but also to examine the articulation with other programmes, the monitoring and oversight mechanisms implemented, and the outcomes of the bilateral relations established between partners.

Each evaluation report is organized around six main sections:

  1. Framework and Scope of the Evaluation, presenting the context and coverage of the exercise;
  2. Evaluation Objectives, detailing the purpose and goals of the study;
  3. Methodology, describing the techniques used;
  4. Answers to the Evaluation Questions, presenting the main findings;
  5. Conclusions and Recommendations, summarizing the lessons learned and guidance for the future;
  6. Bibliographic References, including consulted documents and support materials.

The findings of the reports provide a solid foundation for the continuous improvement of the design, implementation, and monitoring of the programmes, contributing to the promotion of transparency and quality in the activities supported by the EEA Financial Mechanism.
