The National Focal Point of EEA Grants Portugal participated in a training session on July 17th in Lisbon, dedicated to deepening the understanding of double funding concepts in co-financed projects.
The training, titled “Strategies for Controlling Double Financing in EEA GRANTS – Closure of EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021” was organized by the EEA Grants team in coordination with INA – National Institute of Administration and in collaboration with the Recover Portugal Mission Structure.
Conducted by Mário Tavares da Silva, Norberto Correia, and António Grilo, Vice President and specialist auditors in internal control, respectively, this training enabled participants to gain in-depth knowledge about strategies to control the risk of double funding, focusing on the necessary practices to be adopted during the project closing phase.
In addition to the technical approach, the session also included a space for discussing risk management and sharing knowledge and best practices implemented by the Recover Portugal Mission Structure.
This event reinforces the commitment of the EEA Grants to ensure transparency and efficiency in project management, promoting a better understanding and implementation of measures against double funding.
