An initiative funded by the Fund forBilateral Relations, it brought Portugal and Norway closer together through the path of decarbonization

Concluded in November 2024, after a year of exchanging ideas around a key theme for a greener and more competitive Europe, the project “Agricultural Decarbonization for a Better Future” was funded by the EEA Grants Fund for Bilateral Relations.

MORE CoLAB – Collaborative Laboratory Montanhas de Investigação, in partnership with the Norwegian company Bogsdalen Gård, defined and carried out a series of initiatives and activities, establishing an exchange of experiences between Portuguese and Norwegian entities. These efforts promoted the transition toward a more environmentally sustainable agri-food sector by implementing activities focused on knowledge transfer

In June 2024, the promoter of this initiative traveled to Stavanger, Norway, where they led a roundtable discussion and participated in three technical visits with the partner Bogsdalen Gård. In October 2024, it was Portugal’s turn to host, specifically in Bragança, welcoming a group of Norwegian entities for a similar program. This exchange was driven by a shared commitment to promoting agri-food production focused on low resource consumption and reduced greenhouse gas emissions. The project partner Bogsdalen Gård, along with the Norwegian companies Elenovations, Nordic Edge, Røysland Gard, and Terran, as well as the Portuguese companies Acushla Organic Olive Oil, Agromontesinho, APPITAD, Sortegel, and Trás-os-Montes Prime, took part in these national and international tours.

Alongside these technical visits and roundtable discussions held in Portugal and Norway, the project also produced a best-practices manual and an educational video on the topic, both available at
