Fund for Bilateral Relations – Open Call Bilateral Blue Growth#1

This Open Call has the objective to finance initiatives with the aim of: search for partners for donor partnership projects prior to or during the preparation of a project application; the development of such partnerships; and the preparation of an application for a donor partnership project under the Blue Growth Programme’s Calls.

This Open Call Bilateral Blue Growth#1 will remain open until the deadline for the last Blue Growth Programme’s Call or until the allocated funds are depleted.

The main objective is to finance initiatives that contribute to: the search for partners for donor partnership projects prior to or during the preparation of a project application; the development of such partnerships; and the preparation of an application for a donor partnership project under the Blue Growth Programme’s Calls.

Eligible Promoters and Partners: Any entity, public or private, commercial or non-commercial, including any civil society organization such as non-governmental organizations, established as a legal person in Portugal either in the Donor States, are considered eligible bilateral activity promoters and partners.

Only applications with one or more legal person in Portugal and in Donor States will be accepted. 

Natural persons are not eligible under this Open Call.

Each promotor can apply for more than one application.

Fund Availability: 50.000 €

Maximum Grant Amount for each iniciative: 5.000€

Minimum Grant Amount for each iniciative : 1.000€

Funding: Within the scope of this Notice are considered as eligible expenditures a travel and subsistence allowance support, allocated in a single payment, per entity, as a reimbursement, through a lump sum.

Types of Iniciatives:

Activities eligible for the purpose of this notice are used to search for partners for donor partnership projects prior to or during the preparation of a project application for the Blue Growth Programme’s Open Calls, provided they meet the following criteria:

• The application must demonstrate to which Blue Growth Programme’s Open Call(s) the promoter and partners intend to apply .  
• The application must demonstrate a project idea eligible for EEA GRANTS Blue Growth Programme and will be promoted both as a promoter and/or as a partner with responsibility for performing tasks.  
• The grant shall be provided by the Entity to which the travel support is allocated (Travel support is allocated by entity).
