AE Vagos Nautical

The project Vagos - a School that is a Nautical Club aims to develop a nautical culture, consisting as a new way for the population to relate to water plans and nature in general, as well as providing the participation of the local community in nautical leisure activities. Thus, the Vagos Schools Grouping also works as a club allowing the students with greater sporting potential, to have the possibility of reaching higher levels of sporting performance. In addition, it is intended to increase the widespread and inclusive sport practice, from the perspective of sport for all, whether they are children and young people, active adults, the elderly or special communities.

Project activities include:

•  Implementation of educational and basic nautical activities for the school population, as well as sports vacation projects at Easter and Summer.
• Creation of a Federated Canoeing Club, maintaining a team and promoting the attraction of athletes from school sports.
• Creation of a Federated Sailing Club, maintaining a team and promoting the attraction of athletes from school sports.
• Creation of a Federated Surf Club, maintaining a team and promoting the attraction of athletes from school sports.
• Organization of nautical events and regular canoeing activities, aimed at the local community.
