Kids Dive: Portugal - Norway

The Kids Dive: Portugal - Norway project aims to train young students from Portugal and Norway, in the context of Ocean literacy, promoting awareness of the natural heritage that can be found underwater. Through practical activities related to scuba diving, the problem of plastics and biodiversity and marine ecosystems protection, the project intends a more informed, integrated, and active society, while promoting international cooperation and cultural sharing.

Project activities include:

•  Organization of scuba diving activities and workshops on the problem of plastic pollution and about marine biodiversity with the school community of both countries.
• Bilateral visits to the schools involved.
• Implementation of surveys to the students and teachers involved, to evaluate the effectiveness of the project and production of the respective scientific outputs.
• Preparation of bilingual manuals and tutorials videos.
