What is the project about?

The GendER@UC EEA Grants project aims to reinforce the integration of the gender perspective in Universidade de Coimbra research processes and content by implementing a set of measures promoting Gender Equality (GE), through the training of researchers, the on changing the procedures of the R&D Units, includes the actions of removing barriers to participation and promoting GE; and the change in the production and communication of knowledge includes actions of gender analysis with a view to the elimination of stereotypes and gender biases.

It is an Open Call #2 project: Projects to combat sex segregation in educational and professional choices and discrimination in the labour market

What will it achieve?

• combat vertical / horizontal segregation in the research career of women through
  mentoring and support for the research career;
• mitigating organizational barriers to access and career advancement for women in R&D Units through diagnostic actions, support / training of key stakeholders and adaptation of institutional procedures;
• develop inclusive research practices, promoting excellence in scientific research, through training actions, review of templates and monitoring practices of researchers;
• promoting inclusive communication in the research process.
