Project idea:
"Land(s) of Sefarad – Encounters of Jewish-Sephardi Cultures, June 2021, Bragança | Following a work for the appreciation of the Sephardic heritage that took place through the Rede de Judiarias de Portugal in several municipalities, Bragança catalyzed this appreciation by moving forward to a dimension of patrimonial experience that combines historical heritage with the current dynamics of economy and demography.
The Encounters Terra(s) de Sefarad (2017 and 2019) affirmed a look into the past centered on the present, with a set of academic, artistic, cultural, social and economic activities: exhibitions, cinema, music, congress, kosher market, forum.
For 2021, it is intended to broaden and deepen this posture towards heritage and identity, extending the project to more municipalities in the region and to international partners (Norway), and a longer permanence in the territory of artists, creators, researchers, thus promoting a strong connection that creates attractiveness and leverages the fixation of the population".

"The partner we want to meet for this project - Land(s) of Sefarad - has to fill in from the outset three axes of interest: interest in the subject of Judeo-Sephardic culture; work in the cultural and artistic fields; have an interest in working in low density territories and with the community.
The aim is to enter into a partnership to develop artistic co-creation and production work in the territory of Trás-os-Montes, and if possible replicate in the territory of the partner to be found".
