Project idea:
"_Interdisciplinary project within visual art and dance art, or other disciplines. Formats could be exhibitions,
performances, cross-over, learning activities.
_Produced in non-/traditional scenes, public or urban spaces.
_Possibly part of Bodø Biennial. We propose the project or part thereof can also take place in Bodø to benefit the local community.
_Establish narratives between Arctic Bodø and Mediterranean Portugal (similarities, differences, distinctions). Possible themes: identity of place, urban/community development, environment.
Objectives:
1. Audience development and empowerment: reduce participation thresholds; include underrepresented community groups. Create a spectrum of art experiences for the public to observe, create, participate. Offer children/amateurs the opportunity to engage with professionals as a source of inspiration and learning.
2. Establish an intercultural platform where knowledge, skills, experience, methods, networks and resources are exchanged".

_Cultural institutions, arts organisations or production companies who curate and/or produce art
productions/happenings/activities. These could be exhibitions, performances, site-specific works, interdisciplinary commissions, public works.
_Partners who seek to develop projects and/or activities in both traditional and untraditional formats, public spaces, local communities.
_Partners who have experience with or aim to work interdisciplinary, engaging artists, community groups, various experts (depending on theme).
_Partners who seek to innovatively strengthen audience development with various target groups, where art dissemination can take place in various settings and outlets. E.g. reaching out to groups with little or no access to art (e.g. prison, asylum reception centres, hospitals, children’s wards).
_Partners who value intercultural dialogue and want to consider the context of Bodø/region throughout the development of the project".

"We have not yet involved other (local) partners, but are open to do so. A possible partner could be Salten Cultural Cooperation, who manages cultural projects on behalf of the 10 municipalities of the Salten region in Norway (of which Bodø belongs to). They work with project development, competence enhancement, knowledge sharing and exchange of experience in their network of cultural leaders. They collaborate with other cultural institutions both locally, regionally and nationally".
