This project aims to develop, demonstrate and commercialize the GREEN DUNE photobioreactor, used for microalgae cultivation and its application in wastewater treatment, bioremediation and CO2 capture.
The technology is innovative, highlighting the following strengths: final biological tuning of wastewater by means of microalgae; prismatic shape with small area and high volume; reduced installation and operating costs compared to cylindrical photobioreactors; modularity and easy integration into existing or to be installed systems; use of microalgae biomass for various purposes, for example, biogas production, fertilizers, cosmetics or food for aquaculture, promoting circular economy and sustainable exploitation of resources.
