In the eleventh episode of the documentary series "Biosphere Reserves Portugal", we get to know the Biosphere Reserve on the island of Corvo.

At night, depending on the time of year, the sound of cagarros invades the streets of Corvo Island. Corvinians dim their lights to prevent the birds from flocking to them. Protecting this seabird is a priority for all Corvinos and a unique example of reconciling man and nature.

The Biosphere Reserve of the island of Corvo was classified by UNESCO in 2007, comprising the territory of the smallest and northernmost island of the Azores archipelago, including a surrounding marine area.

The Ecomuseum, which we also visit in this episode, does justice to history and tells us about pirates of yesteryear.
