Clarification Sessions for Coastal Cultural Heritage

Clarification Sessions for Coastal Cultural Heritage

The Culture Programme held ten clarification sessions across Portugal mainland and islands, during October, about Open Call 1 “Local Development through Safeguarding and Revitalizing Coastal Cultural Heritage”.

The sessions were promoted by the Directorate-General for Cultural Heritage in collaboration with the Municipalities and the Azores and Madeira Regional Directorates for Culture, taking place in the following cities: Funchal, Viana do Castelo, Vila do Conde, Tavira, Angra do Heroísmo, Horta, Ponta Delgada, Sines, Ílhavo and Peniche.

A strong attendance from local and cultural actors to these sessions was observed, highlighting the participant’s interest in submitting future applications and a great diversity in project ideas within the framework of safeguarding heritage.

The technical content of the presentations allowed the beneficiaries clarification towards this funding opportunity and contribute to the objectives of the Culture Programme and Financial Mechanism EEA Grants Portugal awareness.

Following these sessions, a final clarification session will be held to address issues previously discussed and thus promote the creation of projects with impacts on the revitalization and sustainable development of local communities.
