On the 20th and 21st of October 2022, the “Climate Change - Heritage & Arts” Seminar will take place, in Lisbon, under the Fund for Bilateral Relations of the Culture Programme funded by the EEA Grants Portugal 2014-2021.

The Seminar is organized by the Portuguese Directorate-General for Cultural Heritage (Culture Programme Operator), the Directorate-General for the Arts (Culture Programme Partner), the Norwegian Directorate-General for Cultural Heritage - Riksantikvaren and the Arts Council Norway, with the support of the Embassy of Norway in Lisbon.

This event aims to discuss and debate ideas, share experiences and knowledge on climate change in cultural heritage and arts. It will focus essentially on the importance and impact that climate change causes in these culture axes, as well as on the challenges it presents and the adaptation measures that can be used in the mitigation of the risks that arise from these changes.

The projects and initiatives that promote awareness and sensitization of these issues in heritage and arts will also be highlighted in this Seminar, which will include the presentation of projects funded through the Culture Programme, the Blue Growth Programme and the Environment Programme, in different areas of activity. In order to encourage the participation of representatives of the entities interested in the “Climate Change - Heritage & Arts” Seminar, it will be possible to obtain financial support to travel to Lisbon.

The forms for registration and application for travel support, as well as the Seminar program will be available soon on the digital platforms of the EEA Grants Portugal.
