In these visits that demonstrate the great synergies between these two programs, will be present the Norwegian ambassador in Portugal, the team from the General Secretary of Environment, operator of the environment program, the team from the Directorate General of Sea Policy, operator of the blue growth program, the national management unit, program partners common to both programs, innovation Norway and the EEA Grants FMO.
On Monday, January 23rd, the visits will focus on blue growth program projects in Lisbon, followed by a working lunch and cooperation committee meetings at the Environment program headquarters.
Tuesday, January 24, the group continues its visit in Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia to visit three Environment Program pilot projects. These projects focus on using low-carbon technologies and natural engineering methods to regulate small rivers in the city of O'Porto.
Wednesday, January 25th, the group will visit a project of the blue growth program, followed by a newtworking lunch among all involved that will end with the presentation of one of the projects.
These visits highlighted the importance of collaboration between the Environment and Blue Growth programs in creating sustainable solutions for the future. The use of low-carbon technologies and natural engineering methods in the pilot projects in Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia demonstrate the potential for these programs to work together to create a more sustainable future.
