Municipality of Góis promotes digital photography contest

The initiative developed within the scope of the project “Management of the Ceira River Basin in adapted to a Changing Climate”, financed by the EEA Grants Program, aims to challenge the local community to discover or revisit the natural and human heritage of the municipality, through the sharing of photographs with the motto of the river Ceira, more specifically its course in the municipality of Góis.

The river Ceira rises in the Serra do Açor and after passing through the municipalities of Arganil and Pampilhosa da Serra it enters the municipality of Góis, in a place called Retorta next to the village of Soito. During its journey, it crosses a large part of the county, following the journey to the Mondego River.

If you like photography and challenges, this contest is for you! Here's a tip: photographs that highlight the natural and sociocultural heritage of the river Ceira in the municipality will be valued, namely ecosystems, cultural and leisure activities, as well as hydraulic and sociocultural infrastructures, such as dams, levadas, water mills, water or oil presses.

Participate! Consult the contest rules, duly fill in the registration form and submit your photograph until February 28, to the e-mail address: turismo@cm-gois.pt.

The selection process will be carried out through a competition jury, composed of the photographer Luís Ferreira, a representative of the Portuguese Environment Agency and a representative of Lousitânea – Liga de Amigos da Serra da Lousã.

1st Prize: 1 LinK Wide Printer

2nd Prize: 1 Backpack for photographic equipment
