NTNU and the University of Minho collaborated on the on-site inspection and proposal for intervention in original warehouses in Trondheim, Norway. The warehouses belong to a widespread European construction tradition, while the use of wood as a material and some peculiar construction features can be attributed to local Norwegian construction.

The objective of this bilateral initiative was to work on a master's thesis within the scope of SAHC under the supervision of NTNU. The dissertation's theme is the analysis and conservation of these warehouses and how they are affected by climate change. This project enables the execution of a risk assessment and vulnerability to natural hazards with the creation of damage models and the development of a preventive maintenance plan to protect historical buildings.

The project served as the focal point for organizing an international seminar in Porto, Portugal, focused on the maintenance, preservation, and rehabilitation of industrial heritage buildings. The results of the inspections conducted in Norway were presented, and lectures were delivered by Norwegian and Portuguese experts.
