FBAUL/KHIO Conversations: Intertwining a cartography of common affections in Artistic Research (AR

The novelty of the project ARcTic South is that is happening through the terrain of a practice of thinking together among artists practitioners to approach the subject of Artistic Research

Mining/Caring/Bordering: We have gone through six sessions taking on board ways of getting to know each other and we have created verbal and visual maps of common interests in research.
By this means we have configured a cartography of common affection that opens channels to bridge or to cope, even if team members are in a diverse state of being (solid, gas, liquid, or gel, to metaphor physical states matter) whether as Professors, Phd Students, Researchers, Artists, Educators.

Nevertheless, to think and practice AR collaboration in different states means to (re)configure a research culture of practices to tune and shape circumstantial infrastructures in order to share. Since AR has been a trendy buzz word in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), artists, academics, theoreticians, curatorial networks, Art institutions and HEIs, have attempted to offer their perspectives and views, regardless of the different institutional legacies that compose the European Arts HEIs .

We feel we are potentiating the emergence of a community of practice in AR. The novelty of the project ARcTic South is that is happening through the terrain of a practice of thinking together among artists practitioners to approach the subject of AR within HEIs that already have a tracking on such commitment.
These conversations have brought us an assemblage process of meaning making while pointing to emergent questions to deal at the seminar and workshop, respectively happening in Oslo and Lisbon.
These assembled processes have been shaped through intra-actions, in order to bring borderless open fields, landscapes, nomadic constellations and geologies.

More to come! *
