Launch of the Fund for Bilateral Relations

The Fund for Bilateral Relations aims to strengthen the bilateral relations between Portugal and Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. This Fund was publicly presented on December 14th in Lisbon.

The Fund for Bilateral Relations aims to strengthen the bilateral relations between Portugal and Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. This Fund was publicly presented on December 14th in Lisbon.

The EEA Grants, through the Fund for Bilateral Relations, supports initiatives that aim to strengthen the bilateral relations between Portugal and Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.

With an allocation of 2 M€, this Fund was publicly presented on December 14th, at Palácio Foz, in Lisbon, and was attended by Anders Erdal, Ambassador of Norway in Lisbon and Susana Ramos, Head of the National Management Unit of the EEA Grants Portugal as speakers.

In this initiative, it was also announced the first open calls phase that will take place in the beginning of January, the new EEA Grants joint website and the new EEA Grants APP. This APP, currently available only for Android, will allow its users to receive, through a push notification system, immediate information about the open calls.

In the second part of the event we had a panel entitled "Strengthening the Cooperation - EEA Grants 2009-2014 Examples of Bilateral Relations ", that had the participation of José Viegas Gonçalves, from the project "Tales from the Sea", Margarida Queirós from the project "GenMob - Gender and Mobility: inequalities in space and time" and Teresa Maia from the project "Seed - Promotion of the mental health in the children of people with psychiatric disorders”.
