The Directorate General for Cultural Heritage (DGPC), as Programme Operator, held the 2nd Cooperation Committee Meeting for Culture Programme (EEA Grants 2014-2021) at the Palácio Nacional da Ajuda on November 8th.
Issues related to the structure of the programme were discussed with the National Programme Partner, the Directorate General for the Arts (DGARTES) and Donor Programme Partners, the Directorate for Cultural Heritage (RA) and Arts Council Norway, as well as other entities such as the Norwegian Embassy, the Office of the Minister for Culture, the National Focal Point and the Cinemateca.
Other topics on the agenda were: the Rules of Procedure of the Cooperation Committee; the conclusion of the Concept Note; the definition of the next steps for programme implementation; and the activities proposed for the bilateral fund.
A brief introduction was made to the project (in execution) by the Laboratory of the Nautical and Underwater Archaeology National Centre (CNANS), as it is a pre-defined project within this programme.
In the afternoon, guided visits were made to the Forte de São Jorge de Oitavos and the Museu do Mar Rei D. Carlos, in Cascais, both related to the coastal heritage, another component of the Culture Programme.
