On 2nd of October the first clarification session will be held in Madeira Island, Funchal, at Casa-Museu Frederico de Freitas Auditorium, from 10 am to 1 pm.

The Culture Programme launched on 5th of September the open call “Local development through the Safeguarding and Revitalization of Coastal Cultural Heritage” to fund projects throughout the national territory.

On 2nd of October the first clarification session will be held in Madeira Island, Funchal, at  Casa- Museu Frederico de Freitas Auditorium, from 10 am to 1 pm. This session is promoted by the Regional Directorate for Culture of Madeira and by Directorate General for Cultural Heritage, as programme operator.

This event aims to contribute to the programme objectives knowledge, and to support and clarify potential promoters for this call, targeted to local agents and communities.

The added value of creating projects under this call is that they can be carried out in multiple partnerships with donor states entities, encouraging the sharing of experiences, enhancing resources capacitation based on good practices, the use of new technologies, and the internationalization of the Portuguese cultural heritage.

Thereby, the programme expects to produce important impact on the revitalization and sustainable development of local communities, as in the Madeira region, rich in coastal cultural heritage and an intercultural strategic point.

The presentations are of technical scope, with questions and answers moment.

Admission is free, although subject to registration and space capacity.
