Presentation Session of the Projects - Coastal Cultural Heritage

On 29th October, Culture Programme hold the presentation session of the projects funded under the Coastal Cultural Heritage Call, at the National Museum of Ethnology, Lisbon, in a live streaming session.

On 29th October, the six projects selected under Call 1 “Local Development through the Safeguarding and Revitalization of Coastal Cultural Heritage” of the Culture Programme funded by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area EEA Grants 2014-2021, will be presented by the promoters, at the Museum National Institute of Ethnology (MNE), in Lisbon, in a public session broadcasted in live streaming.

The presentation session will be attended by the Director General of Cultural Heritage, João Carlos dos Santos, the Head Deputy of the EEA Grants Portugal, Maria João Lois, the Responsible for Business of the Norwegian Embassy in Lisbon, Ellen Aabo and, in representation of the Financial Mechanism Office, Márton Matkó.

With funding of around 4 million euros, the Culture Programme will support the projects: Coastal Memory Fort (promoted by the Municipality of Lourinhã), Coastal Cultural Center | Sesimbra (promoted by Sesimbra Municipality), Living Salt Science Farm (Figueira da Foz Municipality), From Fenais to Fenais (promoted by the Azores Regional Directorate for Culture through the Carlos Machado Museum), Nautical Arts Center (promoted by Vila do Conde Municipality) and Porto Brandão Museum Shipyard (promoted by Nosso Tejo Lda).

These projects have the involvement of 30 Portuguese entities, 12 Norwegian and 2 Icelandic entities, the funded projects will contribute to the promotion of social and economic development through cooperation, entrepreneurship and cultural management in Portugal.

The transmission of the session in live streaming will be available from 10:00 am, with simultaneous PT/EN and EN/PT interpretation.
