On June 22nd, at 2:30pm, took place the Demonstration Event of the CircularBuild Project.
The event took place at the premises of CONCEXEC, leader of the CircularBuild Project, supported by EEA Grants, having in the opening session the intervention of Dr. Susana Escária (Secretary-General for Environment) and Professor Victor Ferreira (Sustainable Habitat Cluster), addressing among other things the role of EEA Grants and the Environment Program.
Jaime Silva (CONCEXEC - Arquitectura, Lda.), addressed the scope of the CircularBuild Project, and Armando Pinto (LNEC - Laboratório Nacional de Engenharia Civil de Lisboa) presented the technical characteristics of the CircularBuild construction system and respective validation resulting from the tests carried out. About the Norwegian RISE laboratory, were discussed the work performed in the evaluation of the fire behavior of the CircularBuild building system, through the fire resistance test.
The intervention of the various speakers, culminated in the presentation of the thematic challenges of circularity, which prefabrication and resource efficiency bring, by Professor Victor Ferreira on behalf of the Cluster Sustainable Habitat, as a partner of the CircularBuild Project.
The session ended with the intervention of Mr. Mayor of Oliveira de Azeméis, Mr. Joaquim Jorge, through the strategic framework of the municipality and the companies, in the valorization of the Municipality.
The event ended with a visit to the Demonstrator and a networking moment between the project partners and the remaining participants.
