CirMat project closing event

CirMat project closing event

Last week, on the 5th of May, took place the final event of the CirMat project, in the premises of dstgroup, in Braga.

In this event, the results obtained with the project were presented.

It was also possible to count with the presence of the Norwegian Ambassador in Portugal, Tove Bruvik Westberg, and with two guests who presented their point of view on the circular economy theme: Eng José Faísca, from IP, and Eng Inês Costa, former Secretary of State for the Environment.

The aim of the project is to reduce the use of natural resources and energy-intensive products in construction, replacing them with innovative materials. The project involves the creation of industrial scale manufacturing processes and the preparation of Environmental Product Declarations to demonstrate the mitigation of environmental impacts.

The CirMat project aims to implement a paradigm shift in construction by applying circular economy principles. The construction industry is one of the main emitters of greenhouse gases, and it is urgent to seek harmony and balance between nature and human activity.
