Under the EEA Grants 2014-2021, the Environment Programme, with the Secretary General for Environment and Energy Transition as its operator, launched the Call#1 - Deposit refund system for beverage bottles and cans. The deadline for submission of applications, which was initially set for 30 November 2019, has been extended to 31 January 2020.

The Call#1 - Deposit refund system for beverage bottles and cans aims to promote the application of Circular Economy principles in production and consumption and to reduce the impact of beverage bottles and cans on the environment. A total fund of 6,400,00€ is available for this call.
