The project's main objective is to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions of the activities associated with urban logistics operations, besides offering greater flexibility and convenience to the services provided to local communities.
The project, which includes some innovative measures, takes place in two areas integrated in the Sintra Parish Union and the Parish Union of Massamá Monte Abraão in the Sintra municipality, which will function as living laboratories.
It will have the implementation of a Unique Address Identifier (IUE), a digital platform and complementary initiatives, such as the creation of logistics centers, installation of smart containers and distribution of bins for bio-waste and biodegradable bags.
