Launch of the Environment Programme

On May 29th, the Programme Environment financed by the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism - EEA Grants 2014-2021, will be publicly presented at the Auditorium of the Directorate General for Territory.

The session will be attended by the Minister for Environment and Energy Transition, João Pedro Matos Fernandes, the Minister of Planning, Nelson de Souza, and the Ambassador of Norway to Portugal, Anders Erdal.

Susana Ramos, Head National Focal Point of the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism in Portugal will present the EEA Grants 2014-2021.

The Secretary General for Environment and Energy Transition, Alexandra Carvalho, will present the ‘Environment Programme’ funded through the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism - EEA Grants 2014-2021.

Within the ‘Environment Programme’, this session will also present the signature of the Program Implementation Agreement as well as the presentation of the three Pre-defined Projects: ‘Packaging deposit-return framework’, ‘Territorial climate change vulnerability assessments’ and the ‘Rio Ceira Pilot Project’.

During the session, two keynote speakers, Magnar Odelien, Innovation Norway Program Director and Pedro Matias, President of the ISQ will share their views on the relationship between innovation and climate change.

The event begins at 3pm at the Auditorium of the Directorate General for Territory, in Lisbon.
