"More Pollinators, More Biodiversity" develops Pocket Guide - Invasive Species

Invasive species are one of the main threats to native biodiversity. Invasive plants grow and multiply uncontrollably, occupying the space of the typical plants of our territory, while invasive animals may be predators of native species or compete with them for habitat and available food.

The knowledge and identification of these species that are harmful to ecosystems is the first step in preventing their spread. To this end, the Municipality of Oeiras has prepared a Pocket Guide to Invasive Alien Species, so that all residents and visitors can contribute to their detection and control.
