On the 29th of November, in Oslo, the General Secretary, Alexandra Carvalho, presented the 'Environment Programme’ funded by the fifth financial support instrument in force in Portugal of the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism (EEA 2014-2021 Grants). This initiative follows on the invitation of Norway's Environment Agency (NEA) in October at the Meeting of Environment, Climate Change and Energy Programmes, in Brussels, where Secretary General also represented Portugal.
This Conference gathered the Countries supported by EEA Grants, which programmes include the field of environment and energy. It allowed the countries presentation of their programmes and objectives and also further information on the procedures and the support of Donor’s Partners in several Programmes and Projects such as Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Romania, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Portugal and Greece. In the case of Portugal, the Innovation Norway is the Donor Programme Partner that will support the 'Environment Programme’ in the amount of EUR 24 million.
