Last Thursday, December 3, in digital format through the Zoom platform, a presentation session of the (Des) Construct for Circular Economy project that resulted from an application under the “Environment, Climate Change” program was presented and Low Carbon Economy ”, financed by EEA Grants.
At the opening of the session, the President of CIMBAL, Jorge Rosa, participated; the Director of Prospective and Planning Services of the General Secretariat for the Environment, Susana Escária, and the Vice President of CCDR Alentejo, Carmen Carvalheira.
The main objective of this project, which was born within the Alentejo Circular Economy Forum, is to promote a regional strategy for the reuse of construction products and components, as well as the recycling of construction and demolition waste (RCD), see thus the environmental impact of construction and promoting its circularity.
As CIMBAL - Intermunicipal Community of Baixo Alentejo is the promoter, it also has the support of CCDRA - Commission for Coordination and Regional Development of Alentejo, and has as partners:

The project, financed under the Notice of Agreement # 2 of the Environment Program, will have a duration of 24 months, with a total financing of € 587 801.86, of which € 499 361.58 is financed by the EEA Grant and the rest co-financed by the Promoter.
