Seminar on Climate Change Adaptation in Cities

The Environment Programme participated in the ‘Seminar on Climate Change Adaptation in Cities’ Seminar that took place in Warsaw

As part of meetings between Programme Operators for Environment and Energy from countries financed by the European Economic Area, the Environment Programme, represented by Susana Escária, Director of Foresight and Planning Services at the Secretary General for Environment, participated in the Seminar 'Seminar on Climate Change Adaptation in Cities' organized by the Polish Operator for Environment and Energy and which took place in Warsaw on November 16th to 17th, 2022.

The purpose of the Seminar was to discuss the results of the Programmes in terms of adapting to climate change in cities. Programme Operators from Bulgaria, Lithuania, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic, in addition to Portugal and Poland, participated in the Seminar.

The importance of sharing experiences was highlighted, with the aim of discussing the results of the Programmes in adapting to climate change.

The Secretary General for Environment is the Programme Operator of the Environment, Climate Change and Low Carbon Economy Programme and supports around 23 projects in adapting to climate change at the local level.
