A key for economic and social development in Europe and beyond

The Comission for Citizenship and Gender Equality (CIG) will be present on October 31st and November 1st at the Gender Equality Conference in Reykjavík, Iceland.

This Conference is a bilateral initiative co-organized between CIG, as Programme Operator of the Work-life Balance and Gender Equality Programmme (EEA Grants Financial Mechanism 2014-2021), the Icelandic Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Norwegian Equality and Anti-Discrimination Ombud (LDO) and the EEA Grants Financial Mechanism Office (FMO).

The participants in this conference are the National Focal Points and key stakeholders in the field of gender equality in the EEA Grants Beneficiary and Donor States, including Donor Programme Partners, Programme Operators, the FMO and stakeholders from Iceland.

The purpose of this event is to strengthen and promote cooperation under the EEA Grants, as well as to share and disseminate good practices and experiences in the field of Gender Equality.

The Work-life Balance and Gender Equality Program will be represented in all Conference panels, which also reflect the Programme's priority areas, namely Work-life Balance, good governance and domestic and gender based violence.

This initiative is financed by the Bilateral Relations Fund of the EEA Grants Portugal.
