On June 6th, the "Domestic Homicide Reviews" Webinar will take place, aimed to professionals from various fields interested in this subject, both from Portugal and Norway. This initiative will allow professionals from both countries to share, learn, and reflect on different methodologies for retrospective analysis of homicides in domestic violence scope and the resulting recommendations. It will also feature the participation of two international experts in this field - Frank Mullane, from the Centre of Excellence for Reviews after Homicide and for Specialist Peer Support (United Kingdom) and Neil Websdale from the Family Violence Institute at Arizona State University (United States).

This is a bilateral initiative between the Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality (CIG) and the Retrospective Analysis Team on Homicide in Domestic Violence, representing Portugal, and the LDO- Norwegian Equality and Anti-discrimination Ombud and the TryggEst Program of the Norwegian Directorate for Children, Youth, and Family, representing Norway.

This webinar, financed by the EEA Grants Work-life Balance Programme, managed by the CIG, concludes the bilateral initiative "Retrospective analysis of homicides due to domestic violence - Investigation methodologies and best practices" that took place between 2022 and 2023 with the objective of exchanging best practices between the "Retrospective Analysis Team for Homicides in Domestic Violence" from Portugal and the Norwegian network for the prevention and combat of domestic and gender based violence (The Norwegian Intimate Partner Homicide Committee).
