ViViDo: project on the protection of victims of violence against women and domestic violence presented at International Seminar
The ViViDo Project, which focuses on the protection of victims of violence against women and domestic violence, will be presented next October 21, in the Jorge Gaspar Conference Room in IGOT - Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning of the University of Lisbon. It will have the participation of the Secretary of State for Citizenship and Equality, Rosa Monteiro. The presentation will also be transmitted, simultaneously, through the Zoom platform.
The project promoted by IGOT, presents itself as an innovative project that materializes one of the priority actions defined in the Resolution of the Council of Ministers no. 139/2019, of August 19, which approves measures to prevent and combat domestic violence, as well as as a SIMPLEX measure. This project is in line with the Action Plan for preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence (PAVMVD), which is part of the National Strategy for Equality and Non-Discrimination - Portugal + Igual (2018-2030). Funded by the EEA Grants and included in the Work-life Balance Programme operated by CIG, the ViViDo Project has a global budget of 299,985 €.
An innovative tool for victim-centered intervention
The ViViDo Project foresees the creation of a national online information management platform focused on victims, with the objective of promoting interinstitutional coordination within the National Support Network for Victims of Domestic Violence (RNAVVD), improving information sharing, risk assessments, assessing victims' needs and customizing services to their needs. The project also aims to improve the allocation and use of technical and human resources, and to monitor the victim's process.
Approved within the scope of the "Projects to improve protection of victims of violence against women and domestic violence" Open Call, the ViViDo Project will have a duration of 24 months.
