What is the project about?

The Ge-HEI - Gender Equality in Higher Educations Institutions Project aims to understand the factors that contribute to the inequalities in Higher Education, to better identify and fight them.

Results

  • Recommendations were developed to include gender equality criteria in the evaluation and accreditation of study programmes and higher education institutions (HEIs). A3ES has already incorporated gender equality as a criterion in its Strategic Programme (2021–2024).
  • Scientific report GE-HEI – Gender Equality in Higher Education Institutions, with recommendations for the inclusion of gender equality criteria in evaluation grids, positive action measures for leadership positions, and a national commitment award/seal.
  • Proposed methodology for participatory processes to promote gender equality in HEIs, tailored to institutional specificities.
  • Detailed methodology for implementing these participatory processes.
