Portugal and Norway together in an Education Webinar

The Directorate-General for Maritime Policy (DGPM), as the EEA Grants 2014-2021 Blue Growth Programme Operator, was invited to participate in a Webinar dedicated to vocational Education organized by Diku –Norwegian Agency for International Cooperation and Quality Enhancement in Higher Education, which took place on November the 12th and was attended by more than 50 guests, including representatives of the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism, Programme Operators from some of the beneficiary countries and Norwegian partners from Education area.

 

Diku is an agency of the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research and which manages programmes for the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the European Commission and the Nordic Council of Ministers. The organization of this virtual meeting aimed to strengthen bilateral relations between Donor Countries, in this specific case, between Norway and Programme Operators, in the Education area.

 

This Agency made a presentation showing the opportunities and financial incentives available, cooperation. the learning methods and programmes that contribute to development, innovation in education and the achievement of excellence standards in education and training.

 

In turn, DGPM also made a presentation of its Blue Growth Programme, in particular the components dedicated to Education, Scholarships, Literacy and Young Entrepreneurship, while informing about Call# 5 Education, open until December the 11th  and invited the audience for an active participation in the Portuguese Education Webinar, that will take place on November the 18th at 3:30 pm (GTM).
