DGPM presents the first 13 projects financed by the EEA Grants Blue Growth Programme

13 Projects of innovative products and technologies with a strong focus on sustainability and blue circular economy

The session organized by the Directorate-General for Maritime Policy, as the Blue Growth Programme Operator, took place on February the 1st in digital format and was attended by the Minister of the Sea, Ricardo Serrão Santos, the Minister for Planning , Nelson de Souza, the Norwegian Ambassador, Tove Bruvik Westberg, the Director-General for Maritime Policy, Helena Vieira, the Coordinator of the National Focal Point of the EEA Grants, Susana Ramos and the Project Promoters.

The 13 Promoters had the opportunity to present their projects under the Blue Growth Programme EEA Grants 2014-2021, in the area of ​​Business Development, Innovation and SMEs, highlighting the potential in the commercialization of innovative products and technologies, as well as in the search of a greater resource efficiency. This is achieved through a blue circular economy approach and the development of products and technologies already available on the market or via the growth of new sustainable products using marine litter as a raw material, showing the best work that is being done at this level in Portugal.

Approximately 150 participants attended this session, in a virtual environment with a true spirit of collaboration, showing the desire to create synergies between the entities involved!
