Matchmaking in the area of Maritime Technologies for Observation and Monitoring of the Ocean

The Directorate-General for Maritime Policy (DGPM) as a Programme Operator of the Blue Growth Programme EEA-Grants 2014-2021, is organizing a Matchmaking event under the theme "Maritime Technologies for Observation and Monitoring of the Ocean”, to be held on 6th December 2019, at IPMA – Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere I.P., Magellan Auditorium, Av. Dr. Alfredo Magalhães Ramalho, Nº6, 1495-006 Lisboa, Portugal.

 

The main objective of this event is to promote bilateral partnerships and identify cooperation opportunities for Norwegian, Icelandic, Liechtenstein and Portuguese entities operating in the Blue Economy sector under the Blue Growth Programme, more specifically the development of technologies dedicated to the observation and monitoring of the marine environment, considering both physical and chemical as well as biological aspects, which can be applied to improve ocean data and knowledge.

 

The Blue Growth Programme's core is to increase value creation and sustainable growth in the Portuguese blue economy. In addition, the intention is to increase research and promote education and training in marine and maritime areas.
