EEA Grants Portugal will participate in the One Ocean Week - a meeting place for debate and exchange of experiences related to a sustainable use of the ocean, that will take place in Bergen, between 15th and 21st April.
Portugal and Norway share a long history and strong connection to the ocean. The One Ocean Week in Bergen is an excellent arena to showcase bilateral cooperation related to the blue economy and sustainable ocean, through conferences, meetings, activities and cultural sessions.
The week is open to everyone who is interested in the thematic of preserving and using the sea, the lakes and marine resources in a sustainable way.
In connection with the One Ocean Week, EEA Grants in Portugal, in cooperation with the Norwegian Embassy in Portugal, Innovation Norway and Programme Operators from Blue Growth and Environment Programmes and several other partners, will organize a public seminar, on 18th April, with a twofold aim:
- Showcase some of the ongoing bilateral cooperation projects between Portugal and Norway related to the blue and sustainable ocean, financed by the EEA Grants.
- Discuss the synergies with the Blue Growth and Environment areas, as well as to identify best practices and opportunities for future cooperation.
