ERGOMARINE project at Salon de la Conchyliculture

ERGOMARINE No Salon De La Conchyliculture

First international presentation of the project was held in France

On September 14th and 15th 2021, the Salon de la Conchyliculture et des Cultures Marines 2021 was held in Vannes (France), which brought together some of the most important stakeholders of shellfish farming worldwide.

Ernesto São Simão was invited to present, in the innovation sector, the prototypes of ERGOMARINE system. This project, financed by the EEA Grants Blue Growth Programme, aims to study and optimize the ergonomic aspects of oyster and seafood aquaculture along its value chain, in dialogue with producers and the scientific community.

ERGOMARINE's prototype solutions stand was one of the most visited at this event, namely by potential customers, political figures, cooperatives, research institutions and training centers.

The presence at Salon de la Conchyliculture et des Cultures Marines 2021 was the first international presentation of the ERGOMARINE project, and its first prototypes contributed significantly to create awareness about ERGOMARINE solutions among some of the major world stakeholders in the field of oyster farming. It was also an opportunity to understand the needs, and opportunities, for the improvement of the systems in development.

In parallel to the presence at the Salon de la Conchyliculture et des Cultures Marines 2021, visits were held to some local oyster farmers.
