Oceanvision

The Oceanvision project has as main objective to develop and demonstrate the benefits of using an aerial platform for monitoring offshore fish farm and ports, namely i) improve accuracy, precision and repeatability of aquaculture production and traffic control in seaports; ii) facilitate more autonomous and continuous biomass monitoring; iii) produce data to facilitate informed decision-making; and iv) reduce dependence on high-risk manual labor, thus contributing to an improvement in working conditions.

Its development will be focused on environmental sustainability practices that include remote monitoring technology for aquaculture, wave monitoring, alga bloom monitoring, meteorological monitoring, port monitoring and early detection of oil spills.
