On February 1, at Palácio Venças in Sintra, takes place the Launch Conference of the Project "i4efficiency - Intelligent identifier of integration and logistics efficiency". The project's main goal is to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions of the activities associated with urban logistics operations, in addition to offering greater flexibility and convenience to the services provided to local communities.
The project, which includes some innovative measures, takes place in two areas integrated in the Sintra Parish Union and the Parish Union of Massamá Monte Abraão in the Sintra municipality, which will function as living laboratories.
It will include the implementation of a Unique Address Identifier (IUE), a digital platform and complementary initiatives, such as the creation of logistics centers, installation of smart containers and distribution of bins for bio-waste and biodegradable bags.
The event will be attended by Pedro Ventura, Mayor of Sintra, Francisco Ferreira from Associação Zero, Miguel Fonseca from the Faculty of Architecture, Pedro Mestre from Deltapost, Marina Gonçalves from Mario, Valentina Chkoniya from VTMar, Susana Escária from the General Secretary of Environment and Susana Ramos from EEA Grants Portugal and will be moderated by José Paulo Martins from Associação Zero.
