The second edition of the "Prevention of Gender Stereotypes in Vocational and Professional Choices in School Context" training is now open for registration. This training is organized by the Free Choices project, promoted by UMAR - União de Mulheres Alternativa e Resposta and supported by the EEA Grants, managed by the Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality.
Designed for professionals working with children and young people, this 15-hour online course will take place from June 15th to July 11th, outside of regular working hours (between 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm). The main objective of the training is to empower young individuals to make vocational and professional decisions without being influenced by gender stereotypes.
Throughout the course, participants will explore and discuss various aspects of gender stereotypes, focusing on how they impact the vocational and professional choices made by young people. Practical strategies will be shared to help prevent and break down these stereotypes, fostering a more inclusive and equal educational environment.
The training emphasizes the crucial role of education professionals in promoting gender stereotype-free vocational and professional choices. Concrete examples of inclusive pedagogical practices, along with available resources and activities suitable for implementation within a school setting, will be presented during the sessions.
Space for this training is limited, and registration is free of charge. Participants will receive certification from UMAR, a training institution certified by DGERT.
