Esta iniciativa pretende criar uma rede entre o Grupo de Investigação 3B´s (Universidade do Minho, Portugal), instituições e empresas da Islândia (University of Iceland Biomedical Center, Matis, Iceland Ocean Cluster, Codland e Kerecis) que permitirá reforçar o conhecimento e desenvolvimento tecnológico para valorização dos subprodutos marinhos provenientes da indústria pesqueira, visando a fabricação de biomateriais marinhos com aplicação no sector da saúde.
