Ideia de projeto
Project idea:

The project consists on a double project of creation and audience development. The project proposes the development of a new artistic and community creation of contemporary dance, involving a group of up to 60 people from a low-density Municipality.

A diverse target group in terms of age and socio-cultural profiles with experience in relation to the culture of the territory in question.

From this universe and through an artistic approach, the project intends to value the cultural heritage and the territory, raise awareness and mobilize the population by creating.

The work must use personal and collective memories of the population of both countries (Portugal and one of the donor countries), establishing a parallel between them.

Following the creation project, it is also intended to introduce a strong component on development audience.

Relevance of potencial partner:

The project will count with a partnership from a donor country, which must be an entity experienced in projects of a local development or in a contemporary dance creation.

The partner will conduct the research in their country, making a clear connection with their cultural heritage, mobilize local community to participate in the project, mediate and facilitate the participation, manage and produce the project in their territory and provide the development of the public.

The partner should have experience in conducting community-engaged local projects and / or participatory projects through collaborative practices.

The project will be developed in articulation with the Municipality of the target territory, which will support contacts with groups of participants, theoretical and historical research about local practices, provide logistical conditions and space for rehearsals and presentation of the performance and communication of the project. It should also support the organization of parallel events, such as decoding sessions / approximation to the artistic object that will promote audience development.
